Annual Caribe Homeowners Meeting Results

Just a quick update on the results of the annual COA meeting held February 26th. The annual budget was approved as presented and the board answered questions in relation to several topics that the owners brought up. The amendment to the condo docs changing the minimum rental stay from (1) day to (3) days did pass with a majority. The board has completed the filing of this amendment with the probate court so it is now official.

Have a great spring break!

Annual Homeowners Meeting Results

To all owners,

This weekend we held the annual Caribe Resort homeowner’s meeting. The meeting was very positive and we did have a quorum.

The two big issues on the agenda were the budget approval and an amendment to change the docs. Both passed as presented.

There will be no increase in dues to the homeowners again this year. As a note in the nine years of operation the COA has only increased dues once due to the increase in insurance and has never had an assessment.

The amendment to the docs will change the minimum stay for a rental guest from 1 night to 3 nights. Hopefully this change will help owners with refinancing their units and new purchasers find financing.

Larry Wireman has moved all the houses that were to the east of tower D and eventually will have plans for the last remaining house closest to the road.

Have a great Mardi gras!

Caribe Realty Update

Just a quick note to let all our owners know that the annual meeting will be held at 1pm on February 26th at 1pm with lunch being served at noon. There will be a formal notification along with an agenda sent out prior to the meeting in accordance with the condo docs.

Construction is underway with the new addition of Outcast Charters located between Caribe Resort and Cobalt Restaurant. Pilings have been set and we anticipate the building will be in operation by Spring Break. Outcast Charters will have boat rentals, jet skis, parasails and charter fishing.

Lastly, we are in the process of conducting a deep cleaning on the parking garages and have leased a commercial street and parking lot cleaner to scrub these areas. We hope to put a little shine on these areas and reduce the amount of dirt and dust that is tracked into the buildings. There may be a need to restrict parking in certain areas to accomplish this so please be aware this for the next few weeks.

Owner Parking Passes

We are having a great start to the new year and many of our Winter guests have arrived and are enjoying Caribe Resort. The Caribe Owners Association would like to remind you that the owner parking passes that were issued at the end of November need to be affixed to your lower driver’s side windshield. If you recieved your statement for November there were two stickers and a letter instructing you what to do. Over the past month there were several cars towed due to improper parking. Please ensure your family and guests are also aware of this.

Have a safe and Happy New Year!

• Our IT staff suggests creating a FREE Google email account. This is easily done by typing Google.com or gmail.com into your browser You will notice a “sign In” area on the top right. If you click on that section you will see a “Create Account” button. The remaining steps are self explanatory.

• Once you have created your Google email account, go back into your Caribe email and use the “select all” feature. Once the emails are highlighted, forward them all to your new Google email account.

• Please keep in mind that emails remaining on the system on Friday the 19th will be lost.
