The Aaron Neville concert in Orange Beach was a big success. Caribe Realty helped to sponsor the Christmas Concert and our guests were able to see a wonderful show at the Event Center. We also gave away a fantastic ticket package on the NBC affiliates. The winner was thrilled to be at the resort and stated in was the BEST getaway she had experienced for her family.
Caribe Realty and the Chamber are working on some other new projects for the area to help entice new families to the island.
It was another FANTASTIC summer for Caribe Resort and the guests. The weather was beautiful and the tourist made for a record year. Now it is that time of year for projects to begin around the resort.
Over the next few months we will be posting a list of projects that are underway at Caribe Resort. The first project will be the re-stripping of the parking areas. This will be a long project and we will try to keep it from interfering with you parking space. However, owners who live at Caribe year round will be slightly inconvenienced as the work progresses.
The first area which will be stripped will be the parking spaces in front of the B and C buildings. We will have to clean the areas first then paint the stripes. For obvious reasons the work will not take place on windy or rainy days.

The Kenny Chesney concert has been a big success for the rental units on Caribe Realty. The crowd has been very nice and the people have been raving about the resort on Facebook and other social medias.
Caribe Realty was one of only 4 companies chosen to participate in the event with guaranteed free tickets. Caribe Realty guests were given a very generous amount of tickets and passes for the concert. The event shuttles were located just outside the gates of Caribe Resort. Many owners came down for the concert as well.
The SEC network is live at Caribe Resort. The new sports network went on air and the CARIBE RESORT added the channel to the line-up. You can view the new sports network on channel 68.
As many of your are aware the Orange Beach area received over 21 inches of rain during the storm on Tuesday. Several roads and shore erosion occurred around the island. Caribe is still assessing damage but we did in fact have water damage to the common areas of Caribe Resort and the property. We are working hard to get everything back in order. The boardwalk and several, non loading bearing, columns were the most obvious.
We will provide a follow-up post once all items are discovered but the property faired much better than some other locations in the area.
The annual Orange Beach Wine Festival is still scheduled for the 10th of May. Visit www.wavesofwine.com if you would like more information. The event will take place at Outcast Marina.
The 2014 Caribe Resort Owners Association meeting was a great success. We had a wonderful turnout and delicious food by Cobalt Restaurant. The weather was beautiful and it was an enjoyable day to hold the annual meeting. The minutes will be posted on the owners website shortly and next year’s meeting is scheduled for the third Saturday in February.
We would like to encourage everyone to use the owners website. If any of your contact information has changed, please take a few minutes and update it on the website. There is a button on the home page to update any contact information that has changed.

Please be advised that the twelfth annual Caribe Resort Condo Owners Association (COA) meeting will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at 1:00 pm, at Caribe Resort Building D, Suite 100, 28107 Perdido Beach Blvd in Orange Beach.
You will be receiving a special package in the mail. Enclosed you will find a Proxy for your vote, should you not be able to attend. The major topic at the meeting will be the 2014 budget and assessment update.

On Saturday, February 15th 2014 the Caribe Owners Association will meet at 1:00pm in the D 100 meeting space. At 12:00 noon there will be a luncheon prior to the meeting. A full update of the 2013 assessment and annual audit report will be presented. In addition the board will present the of 2014 budget for approval. An agenda and proxy forms will be sent out prior to the meeting in accordance with the condo docs.
